Marilynne Robinson | A Mug and a Book Recommendation with Crook in a Book

Jordan is ready to immerse herself in Gilead, the central scenery of these four books by Marilynne Robinson. These are all in her to-be-read pile and should be in yours too. To add them to your list check out the links below and as always, be sure to follow her reviews to see what she thought of them.
If you're looking to add a piece to your mugs-to-purchase list, take a look at Mug 31, a medium mug made from white stoneware. This shape is so cozy and nice to hold, perfect to come back to time and again as you make your way through Robinson's stories.
If you're looking for some ideas of what you should fill your mugs with, here's what Reese and I put in our own wares:
Alli's Favorite | London Fog
I am not a coffee drinker and was always jealous of the fancy drinks coffee drinkers got until a friend introduced me to a London Fog. Now, this is my favorite way to start the morning. Starting with a 16oz+ mug, I fill my mug about two-thirds full and steep 2 bags of Earl Grey for about 5 minutes. Then I add a tablespoon or so of vanilla syrup and steamed milk.
Reese's Favorite | Iced Americano
Since I've known him, this is Reese's go-to drink. Start with 2 shots (sometimes 4) of light-roast espresso poured over ice-water. Add half-and-half and vanilla syrup to taste. Simple and to the point.
Enjoy!
